Locate the alternator and the alternator belt

Press on the belt and ensure it is tight

Inspect the condition of the belt and ensure it is not cracked, frayed, or degraded

Check the alternator and ensure it is securely mounted

Ensure all mounting hardware is tight/secure

Ensure the torque stripes are in a continuous line and not broken
