Because the front of the engine is facing the rear of the helicopter, the right magneto is on the left side of the aircraft

Grab the magneto by hand and ensure it is rigid in place (no looseness)

Ensure the torque stripes are in a continuous line and not broken

Visually inspect the wires coming out of the magneto and ensure no damage is visible
